We are a group of professionals and volunteers that strive to deliver transformative and unforgettable mountain retreat experiences. 

 

Our equine program guests seek adventure, opportunities for experiential learning, camaraderie, and the respite of the mountain landscape. The healing at Freedom Ranch is rooted in common experiences, mutual understanding, and meaningful adventures that reinforce the importance of relationships. The environment promotes relaxation, a deeper connection with nature and horses.

WHY WE ARE HERE

 

Depending on roles, duties, and deployment environments, active-duty military members, and Veterans often experience a wide range of physical, mental health, and family bond disruptions during their service. The intensity of training and operational experiences can lead to profound physical, psychological, and emotional impacts. Due to some experiences, many feel isolated or disconnected from mainstream military units, civilian society, or their families. There is a shortage of equine based programs that provide service members and Veterans with access to our unique high country outdoor activities with an equine healing component.
